Conferences and Private Programs

Yampatika can provide programs that are suitable for conference participants and their families, for those who have families visiting and would like to do something special for them, or for those who come skiing with their family but don't really want to ski all day. The main characteristic of these programs is that they are tailored to the people involved. If a conference organizer would like a back country snowshoe hike or a wildflower walk or a lecture on a topic of local interest, we would like to work with you to create the program you need. If someone has a house full of guests who are looking for things to do, we can work with you to create something that they would enjoy and remember.

We are exited to expand our audience through private tours while continuing our scheduled programming. In the past Yampatika has offered private tours for groups and individuals. Here are some examples:

• A guided hike in the Mt. Zirkel or Flattops Wilderness areas
• A young naturalist program to stimulate kids' curiosity while giving parents some time to explore on their own
• A walk through the Old West past of downtown Steamboat Springs
• An invigorating snowshoe or cross country ski to discover the world of winter

Our naturalists are creative and enthusiastic; we will work with you to create a custom program that will best suit your groupÕs needs. Pricing is dependant on the length and type of program and the number of participants.

Private program prices are $10 per person per hour for a minimum of four people. Groups smaller than four people are fine, but we need to charge at least $40 an hour to cover our costs.
